Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how the Algebro application (the "App") processes users' personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

1. Data controller

The controller of your personal data is Patryk Skolimowski (https://www.pskolimowski.pl). Privacy contact: mathmastermind@pskolimowski.pl.

2. What data we process

  • Account data: email address, username, display name. If you sign in with Google — the basic profile data provided by Google.
  • Gameplay data: scores, level, XP, rating, streaks, answer history and per-topic statistics.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, approximate location, usage events.
  • Analytics data (consent only): cookie identifiers and events collected by Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager.
  • Advertising data (consent only): cookie identifiers and Google AdSense signals used to show ads.

4. Analytics, advertising and cookie consent

Until you give consent, we do not set analytics/advertising cookies or run full Google Analytics and Google AdSense tracking. The Google Tag Manager container may load under Google Consent Mode with all signals defaulting to "denied" (no user identification until you accept).

You can withdraw consent at any time via "Cookie settings" in the site footer. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.

We use the following cookie categories:

  • Strictly necessary — sign-in, session, language selection, remembering your consent choice.
  • Analytics and advertising (with consent) — Google Analytics 4 (traffic measurement) and Google AdSense (ads shown outside active gameplay; Pro subscribers do not see them).

5. Recipients and processors

We use trusted providers who process data on our behalf:

  • Supabase — authentication and database (hosting account and gameplay data).
  • Vercel — application hosting and content delivery.
  • Google (Google Analytics / Tag Manager / AdSense) — analytics and advertising, only after consent.

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area; where they do, transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or other GDPR-compliant safeguards.

6. Retention

We keep account data for as long as your account exists. After account deletion, data is deleted or anonymized, except where we must retain it for legal reasons. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics settings.

7. Your rights

You have the right to: access, rectification, erasure ("right to be forgotten"), restriction of processing, data portability, objection to processing, and withdrawal of consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Poland: the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, PUODO).

To exercise these rights, contact mathmastermind@pskolimowski.pl.

8. Children

The App is not directed to children under 16 without the consent of a guardian. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child provided us with data without consent, please contact us.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will announce material changes in the App and, where required, ask again for your analytics consent.
