Quick start guide

A complete walkthrough — from your first game to competing with friends.


1. First game (no account)

  1. Open the Algebro homepage.
  2. Click Play for free.
  3. On the Play page choose:
    • Training — to learn the game calmly, or
    • Quick play — if you have an account and want ranked play (requires sign-in).
  4. As a guest, start with Training:
    • Click Auto — pick for me or pick a domain (e.g. addition).
  5. Solve problems — enter the answer and submit.
  6. After the series you see a summary: accuracy, XP, and a suggestion for next time.

2. Create an account and migrate

  1. Click Log in in the menu.
  2. Sign in with Google or email.
  3. Go through the short onboarding (once, for every account):
    • choose a username (3–20 characters; with Google sign-in you set it here),
    • pick your learning topics,
    • set your profile visibility (public or private).
  4. If you played as a guest — accept progress migration.
  5. Set language (PL/EN) at sign-up or later in Settings.

You can change every onboarding choice later in Settings.


3. Daily routine (5–15 minutes)

4. Train a specific domain

  1. Menu Train (/train).
  2. Pick a domain from the list (e.g. multiplication).
  3. See Your level in that domain.
  4. Start a series — the system picks questions at your level.
  5. After the series your level may go up, down or stay (based on performance).

5. Ranked play (Elo)

  1. Menu Ranked (/ranked).
  2. Click start — you get 15 questions, 150 seconds.
  3. Do not switch tabs during play (anti-cheat).
  4. After the series:
    • Elo rating change,
    • league update,
    • quest progress.
  5. Check the result under Leaderboards → Global.

No-clock alternative: Play → Quick play (10 questions, Elo with lighter anti-cheat).


6. Daily challenge

  1. Menu Daily challenge (/daily).
  2. Remember: one attempt per day, same set for everyone.
  3. 20 questions, 180 seconds.
  4. After finishing you see your score and daily leaderboard placement.
  5. Come back tomorrow for a new set.

7. Add a friend and duel

Friend

  1. Friends → enter username → Add.
  2. They accept under Invitations.

Duel

  1. DuelsNew duel.
  2. Set difficulty, domains, question count.
  3. Share a link or pick a friend.
  4. Both click Ready → play synchronously.

8. Join a club

  1. ClubsJoin club.
  2. Enter a friend's code or accept an invitation.
  3. Inside the club: weekly challenge, member ranking, invite more friends.

9. Configure your profile

  1. Settings (/settings):
    • language,
    • profile privacy,
    • visible statistics,
    • global leaderboard visibility.
  2. Profile — check achievements and domain progress.

10. Exam mode

  1. PlayExam (/exam).
  2. Pick difficulty (grades 4–6 through exam level).
  3. Select domains and question count (10–20).
  4. Solve without hints — like a real test.
  5. Awards XP but does not change rating.
